Playing strength settings
The playing strength can be adjusted from approx. 700 ELO to over 2500 ELO. There are 4 adaptive game levels that adapt flexibly to your skills. This makes the device suitable for absolute beginners as well as experienced chess professionals.
You can choose between the classic Aegon Book, the Master Book with over 300,000 positions and special 7 User Books such as the Gambit Book. This will help you train certain openings.

King performance: a nice chess companion
I ordered the King Performance chess computer on a Sunday and received it at home 4 days later, sooner than expected. The beautiful product box was well protected by an additional cardboard box and shipped by UPS. The product arrived in perfect shape. The board is made of plastic with a wooden frame and looks very nice. The pieces are weighted and nice to handle. You can use other pieces as well if you want, provided they are small enough (king not taller than 3 inches). You can play classical chess and chess960 (pay attention about some reviews on the net where people complain about the computer playing illegal moves, they have set the computer to play chess960 without noticing it). You can also play online with the additional chesslink module (not included). They are plenty levels you can set so that this computer can be used by debutant (1000 elo) up to International Master (2400 elo). The printed manual coming with the product is good enough to start playing. You can download a more detailed manual on this website. The strong part of this product is the program The King. Unlike many other chess program, The King has a unique style. You really have the impression to play against a human. At low level, for example 1600 elo, it makes “subtle” blunders. It does not give you pieces or pawns right away but some combinations exist to win them. You can also transfer the current game in memory to a PC for further analysis and storage. It is a nice companion to play chess and a product worth the price.

Super zum Lernen
Ein kleiner Nachteil für Anfänger: am Brettrand sind keine Buchstaben und Zahlen. Es gibt nämlich einen Schachtrainer, der vor schlechten Zügen warnt, und dann mit einer zugnotation zeigt, warum dieser Zug schlecht ist. Um den computer also voll nutzen zu können, solltest du lernen, wo die Felder genau sind, zB wo genau ist c6? Für schwarz dann verkehrt herum. Das geht aber eigentlich ganz schnell. Und im umkehrschluss ist das Brett eleganter ohne die Buchstaben und Zahlen. Insgesamt sieht die holzoptik super schön aus. Ich nutze den Computer um Eröffnungen zu wiederholen und zu trainieren. Der Computer spielt gerne nebenbarianten, was auch für mich als amateur sehr gut ist, weil meine Gegner oft nicht hauptvarianten spielen. Es geht also mehr um Schach als ums Auswendiglernen. Abgerundet wird das ganze mit der Variante Schach 960. Die macht mir auch viel Spaß. Online Spielen mit Chess Link ist möglich, dafür finde ich aber das millennium eONE bequemer, weil man beim eONE keine extra Kabel benötigt, und die Figuren nicht gedrückt werden müssen. Dafür ist das eONE halt kleiner. Insgesamt ein sehr toller Computer!

Leider unschöne Verarbeitungsmägel
Der Schachcomputer hat eine tolle Engine. Man kann die Spielstärke beliebig einstellen und es macht sehr viel Spaß, gegen den Computer zu spielen. Zusammen mit dem Produkt Chesslink kann man auf unterschiedlichen Plattformen online spielen, was sehr gut funktioniert. Leider löst sich die goldene Folie und auch die Sensorfolie im rechten Bereich der ersten Reihe ist nicht ganz eben. Das trübt die Freude doch sehr, denn es dient auch als Schmuckstück im Wohnzimmer. In Foren habe ich davon dann gelesen, daher habe ich den Support nicht kontaktiert, weil ich glaube, dass der Mangel konstruktiv bedingt ist. Das ist sehr schade. Wenn die Verarbeitungsmängel nicht wären, hätte ich 5 Sterne gegeben.
