Thanks to the integrated LEDs for displaying moves directly in the squares and the child's play operation, the King Competition is ideal for players of all ages and levels. The chess program automatically adjusts to your playing strength or can play at fixed ELO levels to provide targeted training opportunities.
Comprehensive analysis functions
The built-in computer offers position analyses on the high-resolution display if required. Sophisticated evaluation functions turn every game into an educational experience. The King Competition can offer draws or resign games and saves several games for later analysis. In analysis mode, you can easily browse through the games and examine them in detail. You can transfer the games to your Windows PC using our free PGN tool and load external games.
Opening training and Chess960
Two large opening libraries and seven special training libraries enable top-class opening training. In addition, the chess computer supports the popular variant Chess960 (Fischer Random Chess) according to the official FIDE rules, which provides even more variety.
Interactive 2-player mode
In 2-player mode, the computer display acts as a chess clock, while the computer acts as an arbiter. After the game, you can analyze your game together with the computer and gain valuable insights.
Extended online functionalities
With the optionally available ChessLink module, you can use the King Competition as an eBoard for platforms such as Lichess or Chess.com. The moves are displayed directly by the 81 board LEDs. Software developers regularly connect their programs to our chessboard via the ChessLink interface, so the number of available programs is constantly growing.
Comfort and expert mode
The appliance's menu system is divided into a comfort mode and an expert mode. In the comfort menu, all the important basic functions can be used very easily without the need for operating instructions. In the expert menu, all the functions of one of the best chess computer programs are available to you.
