What is B-goods? A guide for customers
What is B-goods?
B-goods are devices that show slight to moderate signs of use. This includes items that have been returned, demonstrated or used in a different context and may therefore show slight signs of use. Although these products are not brand new, they offer excellent functionality including factory warranty and a very good price-performance ratio.
Typical signs of use for B-goods: what you can expect
Our B-goods chess computers and eBoards can show different signs of use, depending on the material and previous use. Here are some examples:
- Slight superficial scratches
- Rough edges
- Not perfectly centered LEDs
- Slight color or veneer deviations
Displays
Slight scratches on the display cover
Plastic housing
- Scratches on the housing or on decorative foils
- Slightly damaged decor foils
Accessories
Accessories and operating instructions may show signs of use.
Packaging
The original packaging is often no longer in the best condition - you can see that it has already been opened.
An example: The M850 chessboard
A concrete example from our warehouse is the following Supreme Tournament chessboard.
In the photo you can see an elongated scratch - but only in a very specific light.
Such scratches often appear more severe in photos than they are in practice. Overall, the board is in much better condition than the pictures show.
Limited availability of B-goods
B-goods are only ever available in very limited quantities and not at all times. Customers who want to purchase a product at a particularly low price should therefore act quickly.
Warranty on B-Goods
Our B‑Stock items come with the same statutory warranty as new products, providing you with 24 months of coverage. You can easily extend your warranty by an additional year: simply register your product in your customer account within 60 days of purchase to enjoy a total of 36 months of protection against functional defects.
All B‑Goods items are thoroughly inspected and fully functional. They may show minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect performance. This way, you get high‑quality chess computers and e‑boards at an especially attractive price – while still benefiting from full Millennium quality and reliability.
